About Christa Kelly Scott
Hello. I am Christa Kelly Scott. I've been a music educator for over 50 years. I am still giving private music lessons in voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, mandolin, guitar, electric bass, and ukulele here at Harmony Hill Music, my music school. I hold degrees in music performance, music education K-12, theory, and composition.
I hold degrees in music performance, music education K-12, theory, and composition. I have performed with the St. Louis Symphony, including a performance at Carnegie Hall. Other genres of music performance included various bands in St. Louis and Kansas City, to include rock, new wave, R&B, country, bluegrass, and Celtic.
I started writing music for this series in 2001 shortly after joining my first Celtic group. The music we were doing was entertaining and everyone played the traditional tunes, but I thought it would be fun to compose my own. So, 367 tunes and songs later, here I am with eight books for you to enjoy. Mystic Journey 2006, Shamanic Journey 2008, Cosmic Journey 2015, Ecstatic Journey 2017, Holistic Journey 2020 (I seriously needed something to do), Therapeutic Journey 2021 (I became ill and needed a distraction), Orphic Journey 2021 (same scenario), and finally Geologic Journey 2022. I guess I'm not finished yet. I just wrote an additional 62 tunes/songs and will be adding Idyllic Journey some time in 2025 or 2026. I hope you enjoy my books and take the journey.
